Meet Jenny

My goal is to be a daughter first. A sometimes feisty, strong-willed, loud-laughing, sugar craving, solitude seeking daughter of God through Jesus Christ. Out of the overflow of that, I consider writing to be my fingerprint of worship to God and where I get to connect the most with YOU.

From writing stories about my Barbies as a child to including Biblical fiction in my non-fiction, words have been constant in my life. There is nothing like a book that embraces you with a beautiful story, and impacts you deeply. No wonder Jesus shared so much with us through parables rooted in the eternal truth.

In the midst of all of this, I am Nigerian-American, the wife of an amazing man from Iceland, and mother to our four adorably feisty kids. They keep me laughing, challenged and in prayer, all day every day!

When I am not running after my kids or ministering with my husband, I can be found writing and trying not to read five books at a time with a side of Icelandic chocolate.

Listen…I knows how it feels to struggle with identity and performance mentality to prove my worth. God has done so much for me in this area and I am passionate about encouraging others, especially women, in Christ-Centered Identity, Intimacy, and Influence. I believe knowing who you are in Christ is foundational to a flourishing life.

After serving on the pastoral staff of The Rock FWC in Huntsville, Alabama for twelve years, my family lives in a small village on the southern coast of Iceland. From there, we serve and minister, covered by our Huntsville church, in various ways around this majestic country.

Along with working on fiction manuscripts—like my debut novel Her Part to Play—I’ve authored several books and creative resources including my most recent, Milk & Honey in the Land of Fire & Ice. This book, along with my book Becoming His, feature Biblical fiction and devotional content used in Bible Studies and small groups. I write for various blogs, share in both in-person & virtual gatherings, and speak at conferences from Alabama to Austria. I’m excited about continuing to share with readers through stories that are deeply rooted—with a touch of romance. Words upon words that I hope reflect the glory and goodness of God.
